Information
The St. John's Anime Society has been active for twelve years now and is dedicated to showing Japanese animation, known as anime. Our society shows episodes from an animated TV series and/or a film, in its original Japanese language (with English subtitles), every 2nd Friday of the semester at Memorial University of Newfoundland. Our showings take place in a large lecture room on campus so that each piece can be enjoyed on a large projection screen. Best of all, all showings are free and open to the public. *We also have collected, over the years, a large collection of tapes, as well as digital copies on CD/DVD, that members can rent. A membership is $5 for students and non-students.
* Although this society does not show adult-rated anime, not all showings may be suitable for younger audiences.
* All events are alcohol-free.
If you have any more inquires, and/or would like to sign up for e-mail updates, please e-mail us!
Also, this site features an RSS feed, so you can also use that to keep up to date on the society!
